My struggle

Well, weight has always seemed to be an issue for me. I always considered myself fat when I was a kid. Looking back now, I wasnt fat, but the girls in the class always told me I was, so guess what I believed. Since having kids, and being married for so long, my weight has slowly crept up. When I got pregnant with my girls, I was 174 lbs each time. With both girls I hit 204lbs the day I had them. In September, I hit 202 lbs. WOW!! Talk about a shocker!! So I started Weight Watchers. After 5 weeks on program and 6 weigh ins, I am down 10.2 lbs. I am not finding it to be a struggle with this plan, portion control, and not denying myself all my favorites (bread!) seems to be working. A few years ago, I did the Curves plan, and really enjoyed it. I lost 25 lbs and kept it off a long time, but it slowly crept back. I tried to start it again, a few times, but had trouble getting motivated. Weight Watchers seems to be easier. I will keep you posted as things change.

I made this bracelet a couple weeks back, while in Edmonton with my Mom and my kids. I thought it was really pretty and hope to make some more. Silver findings, multi colored pearls and Swarovski Crystals! My kids and my mom made one too. A lady from Toronto was doing a make and take of this. Her pattern, not mine! Can you see the possibilities?

Enjoy every moment

I made this card for a girl who placed her first CM order ever with me. She is starting to work on her scrapbook for her daughter. I wanted to let her know that it counted as a workshop and that she had hostess credit with me, so made her this card. I used a SU stamp set, and preprinted cards from Michaels. What a quick card!! Hug the ones you love, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

What Denise means

What Denise Means

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.

You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.

People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

Sometimes these things are accurate... anyone that knows me, what do you think?

PaperTrey sympathy

I made this card for my good friend who lost her dad. the card base is craft, corner rounded on all corners. Then a layer of black, also corner rounded. I put the top layer of craft through the cuttlebug with the swirls folder. I only dit the top and bottom of it by inserting each side in the cuttlebug. Then I used the Scor-Pal to creat the lines across the center. I added the dots with the white gel pen from SU. The ovals are punched with the SU oval punches, stamped with Papertrey and dotted with the gel pen. Very simple, but I love it. She did too!

Papertrey

I made these projects a while ago for some friends. This is a box, filled with decorated peppermint patties, that I made for an anniversary gift for my friend Sasha. I used Papertrey Sweet love set, and Out on a limb and paired it with purely pomegranite ribbon and paper from SU, with a regal rose accent. The clear box is a re-purposed stamp box from Paper trey. Sorry about the poor photo. I took it in the truck, seconds before giving it to my girlfriend.
Thise card I made using Allie Miles stamp set from PaperTrey called Shapes by Design. The beauty of clear stamps is the ability to line them up perfectly. I loved the way that it looked like a beaded curtain or fringe. Again, I used regal rose and pomegranite from SU. I also used SU's Build a brad for the accents. I gave this to my girlfriend Teresa, who is also Alli's SIL.
Thanks for looking, and hug someone you love!

Disney world

This is the latest page I have finished for my Disneyworld scrapbook page. All the digital embellishments are from Creative Memories. It is a 12x12 layout. I used the Creative Memories Story book creator to make the page. I find the program really easy to use for a beginner. If you are interested in the program, please go to http://www.creativememories.ca/. If you order, please feel free to put my name in as consultant!!

Just getting started

Well, I am just getting started on this, after a long time of thinking about it. I love looking at others blogs, and getting their ideas, so I am going to diary some of the things I do. Dont expect this to be a daily update. Just when I have time, and with 2 kids, a husband, my job and volunteerism, it may be a weekly thing! Thanks for reading!
